HISTORY - Old People's home challenge

“When I was a Guide…” Ever wondered what it was like to be a Brownie, Guide or Ranger years ago? If you have, this is your chance to play detective! We want to challenge your unit to add a piece to our Historical Jigsaw and to find out. The challenge, which will run from now until Easter 2008, is to send a postcard to your local old people’s home to introduce your unit and the project, and then to go in and talk to people and record their experiences of guiding. We’ll provide you with everything you need, and give you training on how to interview and record people’s stories. Find out who did what, when they did what, and why they did what! Everyone who takes part will earn one of our heritage badges.
